Official boarding guide
Everything to know before your cat stays with us.
Our rooms are private, routines are adjusted to each cat, and the important requirements are made clear before check-in.
Boarding FAQ
What owners usually want to know.
Are cats from different customers housed together?
No. All hoMEOWner boarding rooms are private. Cats from different customers or bookings are never placed together in the same boarding room.
Do I need to bring my cat's food?
Yes. Owners are required to provide sufficient food for their cat's entire stay. Our team follows the feeding schedule and instructions you provide. Keeping your cat on its usual diet also helps minimise unnecessary dietary changes during boarding.
We recommend packing enough for the full stay, plus a small extra amount where possible in case your plans change.
Do I need to bring cat litter?
No. hoMEOWner provides tofu cat litter for boarding guests. Litter trays are cleaned regularly throughout the stay. Between guests, each tray is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected using F10 veterinary disinfectant before it is prepared for the next cat.
How are the rooms and public areas cleaned?
General cleaning of the boarding rooms and shared public areas is carried out every morning. We also use two large exhaust fans to refresh the indoor air and improve ventilation throughout the boarding area.
Do cats get playtime outside their rooms?
Yes. Playtime is normally provided twice daily — once after the morning cleaning routine and again in the evening.
Playtime is adjusted to each cat's temperament, behaviour and comfort level. Friendly and suitable cats may have supervised shared playtime where appropriate, while timid, shy or less social cats can have private playtime instead. We also follow the owner's specific handling and socialisation instructions.
What are the vaccination and flea requirements?
A valid vaccination record must be presented before check-in. Cats must also receive appropriate flea prevention or flea treatment before arriving at hoMEOWner.
Cats showing signs of fleas, contagious illness or other health concerns may be refused check-in for the safety of other boarding guests.
Do you accept sick cats or provide medical boarding?
No. hoMEOWner is a cat boarding facility and does not provide medical boarding. For the safety and wellbeing of all cats staying with us, we do not accept cats that are currently unwell, suffering from a contagious condition or requiring active medical care.
What if my cat requires medication?
Cats requiring medication must be discussed with us before booking and are accepted only on a case-by-case basis. Please tell us what is required before confirming the stay so we can determine whether we can safely accommodate the routine.
What happens if my cat becomes sick or has an emergency during the stay?
If we notice signs of illness, injury or a significant change in your cat's condition during boarding, we will contact you or your designated emergency contact as soon as possible.
Where veterinary attention is required, we can arrange for your cat to be taken to our preferred nearby clinic, Animed Veterinary Center, Bandar Mahkota Cheras, or another appropriate veterinary clinic where necessary.
Veterinary consultation, treatment, medication, transport and related expenses remain the responsibility of the owner.
When can I check in or collect my cat?
Check-in and check-out can be done anytime within our operating hours — it is not a fixed 10:00 AM check-in or 7:00 PM check-out time.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday–Sunday: 10:00 AM–7:00 PM
Wednesday: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
Our usual lunch break is from 1:00 PM–2:00 PM on full operating days, so please plan your arrival outside that hour where possible.
How does private CCTV access work?
When your stay is active and CCTV sharing is enabled, you can watch your cat directly through your hoMEOWner booking. No separate camera app is required: log in, open the active booking and use the CCTV access shown there.
